Former professor passes
Former Professor of Military Science at the University of Scranton, George Maxim Lindsay, 88, died at his San Francisco home on September 3rd. He was a highly decorated infantry officer, Ranger, Airborne, Special Forces, who served in the Pacific theater in WWII, and in Army Intelligence in the Korean conflict, receiving the Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars, and numerous other combat medals. He retired from the Army in 1965, after 26 years of service, with the rank of Lt. Colonel.
